We are Proud to add Maria Randolph to our list of instructors!!

In June 2010 Maria discovered hooping via Sara Janssens The Happy Hoop blog. Intrigued by the flow and movement available within the hoop Maria grabbed a hoop, found Amelia Whitney and begged for lessons on the spot! Maria has been addicted hoop dance ever since. Although new to hooping, she endeavors to spread the hoop love wherever she goes via classes, workshops, jams and events. Maria is particularly passionate about building the hoop community in Maine by connecting hoopers with one another, New England, and the national hooping communities. Her current projects involve HoopFest New England, Maine Hoop Instructors Association and combining her love of travel, hooping and the delight of learning from each hoop talent she meets with a Rambling Hoop Tour. in this workshop we will be exploring tossing and incorporating it into our hoopdance practice. bring a lightweight hoop, an open mind, a good attitude, and your imagination. tossing can be a liberating experience and will totally change the way we think about hooping. this is a multi level workshop, please be aware that different levels of experience can have their limitations. let's toss it up!

Sennyo will be focusing on one of her favorite areas of hooping - Isolations. This workshop will focus specifically on the smaller iso hoops and techniques used in the prop manipulation world. Mini hoops can be used for this workshop and what you learn can adapted and applied to larger sized hoops.

Hooping To Heal

Come and explore the many healthy benefits of hooping. Learn the basics of hooping and see how it heals the mind, body, and soul. You can't help but enjoy the good belly laughs as you learn to hula hoop. You'll walk away feeling so good you'll want to do it again....and again. We will begin with warm ups with your hoop and then various stances of waist hooping and how to walk around, forward/backward with your hoop.. Hula~Hooping strengthens the 'core' of your entire being. Hooping builds core strength, provides a great cardiovascular workout, helps hand/eye coordination, reduces stress, brings joy and laughter and helps clear the mind. If you've never tried hooping come join in the fun and give it a whirl!
